I often hear from clients I work with that they are feeling disconnection from themselves, others, and/or their experiences. I believe a more fulfilling life can emerge from tending to your internal environment and understanding the barriers, patterns, and factors that have contributed to this disconnect.
My role as a therapist is to support clients in feeling more present and regain control in their lives. As a certified yoga teacher, the mind-body connection is a big influence on my approach and it is an option to bring into our work together should you so choose.
My style is conversational, open, energetic, and warm, while also gently challenging. I use a strengths-based, empowerment approach with my clients. Some of my intersecting identities are:
I come from a multicultural background with Middle Eastern and European roots and a deep connection to the Latino culture - I was raised in a blended family and have a blended family of my own now - East Coast Native - Daughter of an LGBTQ parent - LGBTQ ally and advocate
