meet Yvette Estrada
yvette’s credentials and philosophy
licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) - Clinical License 149.022882 - Pronouns (she/her/hers) - English & Spanish
I have had the honor to work with a variety of individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions and grief, and loss . I have extensive experience helping men and women recover from shame, oppression and exploring their voice within complex family systems. I believe that we cannot begin a conversation about change without examining our environment and how it impacts us. Problems do not reside solely within us.
Through the relationship in the therapeutic room, I will accompany you in your healing process and identify together what works best for you. Working with me you can expect to feel safe yet challenged as I will invite you to reflect inwardly and dive deeper into your experiences to imagine and explore new ways of being.
Some of my intersecting identities are:
I am a Latinx, a first-generation Mexican American, and a Chicago native - I am a wife and a dog mom - I am a pregnancy loss survivor - fertility warrior - I am an advocate and ally to the LGBTQ community
